Anti-gout, Xanthine oxidase inhibitor
Indications
- Primary or secondary gout attack
- Increase uric acid levels in patients receiving cancer chemotherapy
- Increase uric acid excretion to prevent stone
Dosage
- Mild gout – 200 to 300 mg/day
- Moderately severe tophaceous gout – 400 to 600 mg/day
- Recurrent calcium oxalate stones – 200 to 300 mg/day
