Selective, Competitive inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase.
Indication
- Primary hypercholesterolemia-heterozygous familial and non-familial hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia
- Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia as adjunct to other lipid-lowering treatments.
Dosage
Usual staring dose is 10 mg once a day. Maximum recommended dose is 40 mg once a day.
