Indication
Used in these conditions where corticosteroids therapy is likely to be benefit.
- Allergy & Anaphylaxis: Bronchial asthma, Drug hypersensitivity reaction, Anaphylaxis.
- Blood disorders: Haemolytic anaemia, Leukaemia, Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
- Rheumatic disorders: Rheumatoid arthritis, SLE, Dermatomyositis
- GI disorders: Crohn’s disease, Ulceriative colitis, Coeliac disease.
Dosage
The initial dosage may vary from 5mg to 60mg daily, depending on the disorder. Divided daily dosage is usually used
